Last updated: May 2026  ·  Applies to iotsimalgo.com and all IOTSIM services

1. Who We Are & Data Controller

The data controller for personal data processed in connection with IOTSIM is Reggie_W, trading as IOTSIM ("we", "us", "our"), based in the United Kingdom and reachable at support@iotsimalgo.com.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and protect your personal data when you visit iotsimalgo.com or subscribe to IOTSIM via Whop.com. It is issued under the UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UK GDPR") and the Data Protection Act 2018, and — where applicable to subscribers in the European Economic Area — the EU GDPR.

2. Data We Collect

We collect minimal data. The table below sets out what we hold, where it comes from, why we hold it, and our lawful basis under UK GDPR Article 6.

We do not collect trading data, account balances, positions, broker credentials, or any information from your TradingView charts. IOTSIM runs entirely inside TradingView's sandbox — no chart data leaves your browser via us.

3. Third-Party Services & Processors

We use the following third-party platforms. They act as our processors or as independent controllers depending on the service. Each has its own privacy policy:

  • Whop.com — subscription management, checkout, and acceptance logging. See Whop Privacy Policy
  • Stripe — payment processing via Whop. See Stripe Privacy Policy
  • TradingView — the platform on which the indicator runs (independent controller of your TradingView account data). See TradingView Privacy Policy
  • Email provider — used for support and subscription correspondence; processes your email address and message content under standard processor terms
  • Hosting / CDN — iotsimalgo.com is served via standard web hosting infrastructure, which processes IP addresses and request logs for security and uptime purposes
  • Google Fonts — typography loaded on iotsimalgo.com

Some of these providers may transfer or store data outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where this is the case, transfers are made under appropriate safeguards — typically the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To process your subscription and grant access to the indicator
  • To send subscription-related emails (receipts, access confirmations, renewal notices)
  • To respond to support enquiries
  • To send occasional product update notifications (you can opt out at any time)
  • To maintain a record of your acceptance of the Terms, Privacy Policy, and Risk Disclaimer
  • To comply with legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations
  • To investigate and respond to suspected breaches of the Terms, including any redistribution or resale of IOTSIM outputs

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above:

  • Account data (name, email, TradingView username) — for the lifetime of your subscription, plus up to 2 years thereafter for accounting and customer-service purposes
  • Billing records — for 6 years from the relevant tax year, in line with HMRC record-keeping requirements
  • Terms acceptance log — for 6 years from the end of the subscription, in line with the limitation period for contract claims under the Limitation Act 1980
  • Support correspondence — for up to 2 years after closure of the relevant matter
  • Anonymised analytics — indefinitely, as the data is not personally identifiable

You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 7), subject to our need to retain certain records for legal, tax, or regulatory reasons.

6. Cookies

iotsimalgo.com uses minimal cookies — primarily for analytics purposes only. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR (and equivalent EEA law where applicable to you), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to our retention obligations
  • Restriction — request that we restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
  • Complaint — lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data-protection authority (see Section 11)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@iotsimalgo.com. We will respond within one calendar month, in line with UK GDPR Article 12.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted transport (TLS), restricted access to operational systems, and use of established processors with their own security obligations. Payment processing is handled entirely by Whop and Stripe using industry-standard encryption — we never see or store card details.

No system is perfectly secure. In the event of a personal-data breach likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within the timeframes required by UK GDPR Articles 33 and 34.

9. Automated Decision-Making

We do not carry out any automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you under UK GDPR Article 22.

10. Children's Privacy

IOTSIM is not intended for, marketed to, or available to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly.

11. Contact & Complaints

For privacy-related queries, requests, or to exercise any of your rights: support@iotsimalgo.com

If you are based in the United Kingdom and are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk.

If you are based in the European Economic Area, you may lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority of your country of residence.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Product after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes acknowledgement of the changes.
